Why Toy Horses Are Not Just Horse Toys Anymore

ufree horse - Within 1950, the initial toy horses were introduced in America. Ever since then, these toys have grew even larger in popularity. As you go along, toy horses became more than just a horse toy. They became a popular hobby that features horse painting, photographing, prop and tack making, exhibiting and collecting valuable model horses.

ufree horse - Breyer capitalized about the growing collector hobby by introducing a spare time activity magazine in the 1970's. They launched the first special edition artist resins model horses in the 1980's. Through the 1990's, the collectors hobby blossomed and continues to be very popular today. Special edition artist resins are released now with limited editions of some hundred pieces, or even in certain cases only 50 pieces. These pieces usually become unattainable quickly. After these toy horses can be purchased out, they increase significantly in value within the collector's market.

By 1996, Breyer toy horses were no longer the sole game in town. Stone horses were introduced with horses just like detailed, some would argue more descriptive, than Breyer. While Breyer caters to the huge toy market along with the collector's market, Stone focuses more about exclusive edition collectibles. Other brands also entered the marketplace including Hagen-Renaker Horses. Today, Schleich and Safari also offer detailed, hand-painted model horses. However, Schleich and Safari are more common as toys as opposed to collectibles, perhaps due to the smaller size their 1:24 scale horses when compared to larger 1:9 scale for Breyer and Stone horses. Despite every one of the competitors, Breyer still dominates forex trading for toy horses and collectibles.

ufree horse - Our company was first brought to the field of model horse toys in 2007 whenever we added the Breyer products to your store. Since we already carried plenty of other toys, we assumed these would be merely another toy category. We had been surprised this past year when Breyer gave us something special of some limited edition artist resins having a suggested expense of $300 each. We thought they would never sell but we were wrong. Our customers were desperate to pay that price because these were no longer yet another horse toy for them. These toy horses procured over a totally new value as rare collectibles.

What began like a horse toy has developed into a full-blown hobby with thousands of devoted hobbyists around the globe.
