“Now-ness”. The Zen State Of Thoughts

“Now-ness” is the state of perfect attention. That is, it is a state of becoming where all that exists is the present moment, without having any believed of previous or future. It is paying total interest to what you are carrying out in the moment that you are performing it. If you are consuming for instance, just consume. If you are reading, just read. If you are eating and you are pondering about your bills, or what is on tv tonight, then you are not in a state of now-ness. If you are reading and you are not completely concentrating on the act of reading then once more, you are not in the present. Regardless of what you take place to be carrying out, if you are thinking about something else, then you are not attentive and not in a state of now-ness

When you are not attentive, not right here and now, your present peace of thoughts may be disturbed by some oncoming future event for no great purpose. For instance: Don't forget when you have been in higher school and you had a very crucial test coming? It was Friday and the test was to take location on Monday.
