Dye bias

A bias that may occur in two-channel or two-color microarray measurements.

When samples are labeled with different dying molecules those may affect the hybridization properties of each sample. Also the scanner can introduce some variation when reading one or the other color. Hence microarray intensity measurements are affected and do not properly reflect abundance of DNA or RNA molecules in the samples.
